Tri-County CAP Names Boschen Incoming CEO

April 1, 2016

The Board of Directors of Tri-County Community Action met on March 22 and voted to appoint Rob Boschen its new Chief Executive Officer. He had filled the role of Interim CEO when Michael Coughlin departed on March 11. As earlier reported, Coughlin left to assume the role of President & CEO of Crotched Mountain Foundation, in Greenfield, NH.

Boschen, of Conway, is currently CAP’s Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. He has been intimately involved in helping CAP recover from its financial and operational crises that peaked in 2012. Among other things, he was instrumental in helping CAP recently achieve its first clean audit from its independent, third-party auditor, Leone, McDonald and Roberts. He also helped build the budgets and plans that helped CAP balance its books over the last two years.

Sandy Alonzo, CAP’s Board Chair said, “We are excited that Rob was able to step into this important role. With the teamwork and leadership of our Board, management, employees, community, and other stakeholders over the last three years, we have brought TCCAP back to a place of stability that many did not believe possible.  While our progress has been remarkable, we have much more work to undertake to bring ourselves to a level of excellent health and stability. Rob helps us continue on that path.”

“Rob is the ideal person to help carry on the work we began together,” said Michael Coughlin, CAP’s outgoing CEO. “Rob understands CAP, its mission, programs and finances inside and out. He also already has good relationships with our communities and key stakeholders. I know he will do a great job of continuing and expanding this vital work in the North Country.”

Boschen said, “I am excited about the opportunity to work to keep TCCAP on its current path so many have worked so hard to achieve.  I want to thank the Board and staff for this opportunity to help lead the organization forward.  We will strive to continue to meet our mission to help people in the Northern Counties of New Hampshire move out of poverty, or keep themselves out of poverty.  This helps us build stronger individuals, which in turn build stronger communities.  As in the last couple of years we will continue to work to show that we can pursue our mission while living within our means.
