Young people in the North Country sometimes get into trouble by making the wrong choices. Tri-County CAP's Youth Alternatives Program in Coös County helps them get their lives back on track by assisting them in seeing where they have gone wrong, and by helping them to see other alternatives to those that got them in trouble in the first place.

Youth Alternatives in Coös County currently operate four programs:

• Juvenile Court Diversion, a court alternative for first offenders

• The Challenge Course, learning about drugs and alcohol

• Family Mediation, Parents and kids learning new ways to get along

• Community Service, making positive contributions to the community
