Helping people, changing lives... in the North Country of New Hampshire

Volunteer in the Community
[Home] [Up]

You can get involved with young children and their families in your community by volunteering at Head Start centers.

The homeless shelter in Lancaster can use volunteer assistance as well, and the Long Distance Medical Transportation Program relies on community volunteers.

VISTA members -- people just like you -- dedicate a year or more of their lives helping North Country agencies develop and carry out projects that benefit our communities.

In Coös and Carroll Counties, community members are an integral part of our Youth Alternatives Program and the programs offered at the Carroll County Restorative Justice Center. Many Coös County seniors participate in the RSVP program, and volunteer in our other senior projects.

In northern Grafton County, community members volunteer their time to put an end to domestic violence and sexual assault, and to assist victims thereof.

These are just some of the ways you can get involved in your community.
