Carroll County Prevention Coalitions
Welcome to the
home page for the Carroll County Prevention Coalitions! The goal of this
work is to reduce underage drinking through reducing the availability of
alcohol to youth and addressing the belief that drinking is a rite of
passage.
How to get involved:
There are 3 local/regional prevention coalitions in Carroll County and one
countywide coalition that meets periodically to bring the local efforts
together at one table. Contact information is available below for all these
groups:
•
Moultonborough Taking Action – Jessica Stephens, Coordinator.
This coalition covers the town of Moultonborough. To contact Jessica,
She can also be reached by calling her office at Moultonborough Academy
at 476-5517.
• Northern Carroll County Prevention Coalition – Jen Collard,
Coordinator. In addition to her
email, she can also be reached at 603-662-9949. This coalition
covers the towns supported by SAU 9 and 13 (Albany, Bartlett, Chatham,
Conway, Eaton, Freedom, Glen, Hale’s Location, Hart’s Location,
Intervale, Jackson, Madison, and Tamworth).
• Southern Carroll County Prevention Coalition – Gary Steinbach,
Coordinator. This coalition covers the towns within the Governor
Wentworth Regional School District (Brookfield, Effingham, New Durham,
Ossipee, Tuftonboro, and Wolfeboro). To contact Gary, click
here or call him at 651-8617.
• Carroll County Prevention Coalition – Cyndi Paulin, Director.
These meetings give local coordinators and people in the community
concerned with a countywide scope a chance to compare notes and
coordinate local efforts to provide the most consistent work and
activities. Please call 603-323-8139 or email Cyndi by clicking
here.
**Funding to
support these coalitions comes from a Strategic Prevention Funding (SPF)
State Incentive Grant (SIG). MTA is also supported by county incentive
grants, and their activities are funded in part by fees collected by the
Moultonborough Police Department for alcohol-related charges.
