The foliage will be near its peak. It will be a beautiful late summer day in the Androscoggin Valley situated in the Great North Woods of NH.

Starting with a scrumptious Lumberjack Breakfast served from 6:00 to 9:30 AM.

Believed to be the largest Lumberjack Show in NH, this year’s Show is bigger than ever. 76 (the most ever) registered Log Bullies are ready to chop and saw their way to generous cash prizes!

Competition begins at 10 AM with the Preliminary Axe Throw!

Seventy-six competitors – a record - have registered for the 12th Annual Lumberjack Competition and Festival which will be held in Berlin on Sunday, October 2nd.
Men and women are coming from California, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Rhode Island Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island and Quebec.
The previous record, 48 competitors, was set last year.
Events include the Axe Throw, men & women; Bow Saw, men & women; Underhand Chop, men & women; Standing Block Chop, Open Class Chainsaw, Jack & Jill Crosscut, Two Person Crosscut, and Two Person Log Rolling (Peavey).
A lumberjack breakfast will be served from 6 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. with “axe-throwing preliminaries” beginning at 10 a.m. The official opening ceremonies start at 11:30 a.m. There is a $5 admission charge for adults and children 12 and under are admitted free when they are accompanied by an adult.
